Technician in the Gastronomy department at PRODECA
(Catalan Foods Promotion Agency). 

Job description

In collaboration with the rest of the PRODECA team, and reporting to the head of the Gastronomy Department: 

• Manage projects in the Gastronomy Department and work on transversal projects with other departments of PRODECA.

• Plan, coordinate, implement and follow up projects centred on promoting agrifood products and gastronomy.

• Manage resources, budgets, tasks and goals for each project, and Coordinate teams of external suppliers and internal project staff. 

• Monitor indicators as defined in PRODECA's strategic plan.

• Report to the Department head on task progress, calendars, goals and fulfilment of objectives.

• Prepare and deliver presentations and project reports.

• Carry out documentary tasks, archiving and database management, prepare bids and tenders, draft technical specifications and other administrative tasks.

• Liaise with industries in the sector 

• Provide support in the development of new PRODECA projects. 


Academic qualifications:Degree in either Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Advertising and PR, or Journalism.

Complementary official qualifications in these disciplines or specialized qualifications in catering/gastronomy.

Professional experience:

•Experience in agrifood industry and/or gastronomy.

•Experience in liaison with companies in the agrifood/gastronomy sector

•5 years' experience as project manager or sales executive.

•Proven ability to manage projects involving a high degree of communications and marketing. 

•Knowledge of web analytics, social media, event organization, budget management and graphic design management.


Catalan level C

English: Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency (official certificate or level test required).

Other languages taken into consideration

Valid driver's licence

Availability to travel and work some weekends.

Communication skills, ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Other skills and competencies that will be taken into consideration:

• Knowledge of public administration procedures. 

• Ability to manage teams and work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to get the most out of human resources and budgets.

• Personal initiative and commitment to company growth.

• Knowledge of software tools specifically applicable to project management.

• Customer orientation, creativity, proactivity and initiative.
